Frequently asked questions

How is a weighted grade calculated?

Multiply each category’s score by its weight, sum them, and divide by the total weight: grade = Σ(score × weight) / Σ weight.

What grade do I need on the final exam?

required = (target − current × (1 − finalWeight)) / finalWeight, where weights are fractions. If the result is over 100%, the target isn’t reachable.

Do the weights need to add up to 100%?

For the weighted-grade mode they don’t have to — it divides by whatever the weights sum to — but using percentages that total 100 is clearest.

Are my grades stored?

No — all calculations run locally in your browser.
