Frequently asked questions

Why does some text not render on LinkedIn / iMessage?

Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (the Unicode block these styles use) are well supported on Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Facebook, Reddit, and most modern OSes. LinkedIn and iMessage have inconsistent support depending on platform and version.

Is this text accessible to screen readers?

No — screen readers may read Mathematical Bold A as "mathematical bold capital a" or skip it entirely. Do not use fancy text for content that needs accessibility (headlines, body copy in articles).

Will Twitter count fancy text as fewer characters?

No — Twitter counts by code points, so most fancy characters count as 1, but multi-code-point styles can use 2. The counter below your input shows visible-grapheme count for guidance.

Why does Script style sometimes show a regular letter?

Unicode reserves a handful of script code points (B, E, F, H, I, L, M, R, e, g, o) and points them to the Letterlike Symbols block instead. The tool handles this transparently, but if a font doesn't include those glyphs you'll see a fallback.

What is Fancy Text Generator?

A Fancy Text Generator is a tool that converts plain text into 13 Unicode font styles, including bold, italic, script, fraktur, double-struck, monospace, and fullwidth. It runs in the browser by mapping characters to their styled Unicode equivalents, producing copy-paste output that displays on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord without requiring an actual installed font.
