How to use

  1. 1 Type a color value in any row — HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, or CMYK — and the other four update live.
  2. 2 You can also paste a CSS named color (red, dodgerblue, rebeccapurple) into the HEX row.
  3. 3 Turn on Include alpha to expand HEX-8 and the RGBA / HSLA / HSVA forms; drag the slider for opacity.
  4. 4 Use the Copy button on each row to push that representation to your clipboard.

Frequently asked questions

Does HEX support alpha?

Yes — turn on the alpha toggle and HEX expands to 8 digits (#RRGGBBAA). Modern browsers and most design tools accept this form.

Why are my HSL and HSV values rounded?

Channel display rounds to whole percentages for readability. Internally the conversion is full-precision, so round-tripping back to RGB gives the same byte values.

CMYK colors look slightly off compared to my print software.

Browsers and most online converters use the naive RGB↔CMYK formula — true print color is profile-dependent (ICC, GRACoL, FOGRA). Use this tool for screen approximations only.

Need just HEX ↔ RGB?

This tool handles all five formats, but if you only want a one-liner copy, paste the HEX value into the top row and read RGB from row two.
